Meet the Team

Founder
In Spring 2024, I started sowing seeds and planting flowers in what was the original school garden of theschoolmastershouse (our home), built in 1895.
Before long and much to my amazement, I had a cutting garden. An honesty box at the gate of our home followed and so the idea of the School Garden was born.
I have always enjoyed table styling and interiors, in fact over the past few years my interior styling has been reposted by brands such as Farrow and Ball, La Redoute, Sandtex and George Home to name but a few.
And so it seemed obvious that I should combine my skill in styling with my new found love of all things floral.
So, whether you want a seasonally styled bouquet of flowers, a styled event such as a wedding or hen party, I’m here to help make that happen.
My aim is to create that unforgettable and unique experience for you using a bespoke and carefully curated collection of candlesticks, tableware, table linens and of course flowers.
During the growing season here in County Down, I use sustainably grown flowers from the School Garden but I support local flower growers too and use their wonderful blooms when hosting or styling larger events.
We also host a wide range of workshops every month, so have a browse at what’s on offer and I hope to see you very soon at The Schoolmaster’s House.

I’ve been collecting vintage homeware and tableware for over two years now and have quite the collection including many cherished Spode pieces.
Working alongside Janice at the School Garden, my aim is to share that collection with you, providing you with a timeless and unique look for your special event.
So, if you would like to create a bespoke table setting for an event, please get in touch. We specialise in intimate weddings, hen parties and special occasions as well as hosting workshop experiences. We can both provide or source candlesticks, table linens, a range of vintage tableware and much more. In fact, we aim to bring your ideas alive taking all the organisational stress away from you. That’s why we will be there on site at your event to set up and to take things away.
I’m excited to share my curated homeware collection with you and if you attend our workshops, you will be able to use it.
Reusing and recycling is a key aspect of our business and how wonderful it is to bring vintage items to life and make them work for us as stylists.
Please do check out the website for our unique Studio Collection. These items have been sourced by us and are available for you to purchase. Where we have vases for sale we also offer you the opportunity to add flowers to your purchase.
I’m looking forward to this creative journey.
